Pillow Top Care

Regular sunning and airing is the best way to care for our wool pillow tops. To protect the surface from soiling and stains, we recommend covering all our pillow tops with our Organic Flannel Mattress Pad. Use a nontoxic spot cleaner if necessary. Pillow tops are not washable.

A Few Words About Our Wool...

Our Naturally Safer^® pure wool comes from Northern California, where the sheep are reared following stringent guidelines that ensure no chemical contamination or animal cruelty. Wool has the ability to absorb large amounts of natural body moisture and then release it easily through evaporation. This attribute keeps you comfortable while you sleep by minimizing natural body-temperature fluctuations. (Synthetic fillings and coverings do not absorb moisture or dissipate body heat, often causing sleepers to wake up perspiring and uncomfortable). Wool also can spring back to its original size and shape, and it discourages dust mites. Because of its high moisture content and the protein (keratin) that it contains, wool is also naturally flame resistant.

You can customize the feel of your mattress by adding one of our three luxurious pillow tops. Any style may be added to one of our mattresses, and will give an additional layer of cushion to enhance your comfort.

For sleepers who enjoy a pillowy softness, you can't beat sleeping on three inches of long-staple Naturally Safer^® pure wool. The Wooly is covered in 100% certified organic cotton fabric, then hand tufted for maximum loft. This type of pillow top does take impressions, as it conforms to your body. It should be fluffed and turned, much like a wool pillow. Approximately 3" deep. Handmade in the USA.
