This pure product is made without synthetic fragrances, chemicals, alcohol, or oils. Our unscented deodorant consists of two ingredients: potassium alum* (mineral salts) and purified water. The mineral salts are naturally astringent and inhibit bacterial growth. The third ingredient in our lavender deodorant – organic lavender essential oil – works with the mineral salts to further inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and excessive perspiration. *Do not confuse potassium alum with aluminum. Aluminum compounds are the main ingredient in mainstream antiperspirant deodorants. They block pores and prevent the release of sweat — your body’s way of cooling itself. Aluminum is also a known neurotoxin, and is readily absorbed by the body.
