A Few Words About Our Wool...
Our Naturally Safer® pure wool comes from Northern California, where the sheep are reared following stringent guidelines that ensure no chemical contamination or animal cruelty. Wool has the ability to absorb large amounts of natural body moisture and then release it easily through evaporation. This attribute keeps you comfortable while you sleep by minimizing natural body-temperature fluctuations. (Synthetic fillings and coverings do not absorb moisture or dissipate body heat, often causing sleepers to wake up perspiring and uncomfortable.) Wool also can spring back to its original size and shape, and it discourages dust mites. Because of its high moisture content and the protein (keratin) that it contains, wool is also naturally flame resistant.
Great product Review by Melina
This wool moisture pad is excellent. Like everything I have purchased from Lifekind so far, it smells like...nothing. This may sound like a strange thing to say, but most conventional products seem to always smell really strongly of caustic chemicals. They few times we have spilled something on our Euro mattress so far it has worked perfectly to protect our mattress. Washing it gently with only water has worked great too. I am pleased. So nice to have organic products! Review by Plantmasterme
Very comfy to sleep on and no worries about breathing in off-gassed chemicals. (Posted on 8/6/16)
love it Review by KellyM
I have been using these for years--one on each bed in the house. They have been effective with kids, dogs, etc... (Posted on 9/15/15)
Nice but Pricey Review by Natural Afficionado
The pad doesn't make a queen size mattress hot, nor does it add thickness as it is thin but dense. It is not guaranteed to be leakproof, only leak retardant. Whip-stitched edges and generously sized, but even on sale an expensive acquisition. (Posted on 7/2/15)

Corinne, Ukiah, CA Review by I LOVE your wool puddle pad!
I LOVE your wool puddle pad! We have one on our king size bed in which we have co-slept with our three breastfed, diaper free babes over the past nine years. It is still in perfect condition, and keeps our fancy organic mattress in good shape. I recently invested in another twin sized wool mattress protector from you all for my boy who, though now in his own bed, was having trouble making it to the toilet in the night. Besides it saving his organic cotton futon, I think he sleeps better at night with a layer of wool underneath. I am happy knowing he has all the benefits of pure wool underneath him as well, rather than an uncomfortable, toxic "rubber sheet" of the old days. Thanks for your amazing products and your high standards for your business. (Posted on 5/13/15)
Nice surface and protection Review by Deborah
This was a splurge, even on sale--I was lucky enough to catch good timing. It's a flat piece of nicely thick wool fabric with elastic straps on the corners to hold it in place. It's comfortable and doesn't add synthetics to my bedding profile, which was the goal. I like it a lot, although it's different from other mattress pads I've had. (Posted on 5/8/15)
Stops the moisture from ruining your bed Review by LP
Having used the puddle pad as a diaper changing station base, a crib pad with an infant that magically found gaps in his cloth diapers, and using the twin-size pad in the bed of the same child as he was potty training, we now swear by the Pure Wool Moisture Protector Pad by Lifekind.
While we did not follow the "rinse with warm water and air dry" directions, we have not noticed an issue with odor or discoloration.
During the nights our child was potty training and had accidents on his twin-size pad, we had a towel around to help wipe up residual moisture prior to putting on the new sheets. Then, probably about every 5th sheet change, we did use warm water and let it air dry. On other nights/mornings (i.e. 4:00 AM), he would join us in our queen-size bed and we just used the puddle pad to minimize leak through if he had an accident in our bed before we all got out of bed and changed the sheets.
While I first felt the price of the pads were steep, the cost of a new bed or the frustration of dealing with a wet bed far outweigh the cost of the pads. Having purchased these with our first child, they are being reused in the same fashion with our second thereby increasing the usage for no increased cost.
Once you are through using them, they can be given to family or friends who have young children (or even resold as used) if you kept them nice. (Posted on 4/9/15)
Great for wetness protection Review by Krista
We have owned two of these for our children's beds for about 4 years. Our kids have had several accidents in the beds, but this wool pad in combination with the cotton flannel cover have provided complete protection for our mattresses. Awesome and worth the price. (Posted on 1/26/15)

Naturally Safer™ Pure Wool Moisture Protector Pad - can this machine dryed.
No, it cannot. We recoomend that you wash this item in cool water and allow it to air dry. The wool is not treated with anti-felting agents (or any other chemicals), so putting it in the dryer will cause shrinkage.
