Question:

So the picture doesn't really show Regular sheets on the bed but I'm assuming you still put regular sheets on the bed. Is that correct and I have a king size bed and I sleep alone in my usually pretty much in the middle only would it be okay to just order a queen-size if I considered ordering this or would I still have to get full king size

Answers:

  • Yes, you would want to use sheets, as usual.  It is best to treat the Wooly as an extension of the mattress (so any protective pads you would use on your mattress would ideally go on top of your Wooly, as well).  If your fitted sheets are not deep enough to fit over everything without squishing it, you can simply use two fitted sheets (one to cover the mattrss and one to cover just the Wooly).  Also, there is no reason that you culdn't order a Queen pillow-top, if you really only sleep in the middle of the bed!

Question:

Hi! My husband and I are totalLy enjoying our wooly topper. So delicious to sleep on. What are the general care instructions for it? Also, how often should we air it out and fluff it? Do you think there's anything we can do to help it keep it's original fluffiness or will it inevitably harden up as one topper did that we bought from another company a long time ago. We are Lifekind fanatics now. :—) thanks so much for your time.

Answers:

  • We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying your Wooly pillow-top and thank you for your excellent question!  The wool will compress with time, so the more frequently you rotate your pillow-top, the longer it will maintain its softness.  We recommend "fluffing" it every time you change the sheets and allowing direct sunlight to freshen it up, as needed.  Enjoy!

Question:

Is it baffled

Answers:

  • The Wooly is hand-tied, rather than baffled.

Question:

I have a wooley 3inch mattress topper and tonight i set a water bottle on it that wasnt closed all the way and the water went through the lifekind mattress cover onto the wooley and soaked it in a large area. I put it on a couple of chairs to air out inside the house. is there anything else i should be doing so it doesnt get ruined? thank you

Answers:

  • Hi Wendy! It sounds like you are doing the right thing precisely. If it's possible to expose your Wooly to some nice sunlight and fresh air, that may speed the drying process. After you're sure it's dried completely, it should be ready to use, and hopefully none the worse for wear.  :)

Question:

Can this be dry cleaned?

Answers:

  • We don't recommend dry cleaning, since it would result in chemical contamination, and chemical-free or "wet-cleaning" methods will shrink the pillowtop and turn it into a hard, mat-like surface.
